It was such a rugged, gorgeous place! We unpacked when we got there and then went riding four-wheelers to see the wind turbines, oil pump jacks, deer feeders and hunting blinds, the pond where we fed huge catfish, etc. The rest of the weekend was filled with eating, sitting by the fire inside and out, hanging out in the huge hot tub, shooting guns (on the boys' part!), playing with the four dogs and watching the guineas, goats, pony and horses. We had a great time and it was a very appreciated mini-break from reality!
Here's Isaiah and me on New Year's Eve:
The girls -- Shelby, Terra, me and Val:
The whole gang: Tyler & Terra, Val & Spong, Shelby & Hunter, and us!
Kendall's Nana and Grandpa took great care of her while we were gone, and even dressed her up in the New Year's onesie I'd bought her. It's not her best picture, but the only one I have of her in her outfit:
This girl LOVES her Baby Tad from Nana and Grandpa!
And lastly, Nana and Grandpa headed back to San Marcos on Monday after spending 10 days or so with us. Kendall was sad to see them go (you can't tell from this picture....but she was!).
Happy New Year to all!
