Well, it’s been a few weeks since I blogged and I have a few pictures to share to illustrate our month so far, so here goes!
Our neighbor Louis had a birthday in late May and we hosted his b-day dinner at our house for him and his family. Louis is one of Kendall’s favorite people, and not only because he always shares his ice cream and cake with her! There’s no happier kid in the world than one with chocolate cake crumbs on her chin!
I’m a firm believer that there aren’t many things that are sweeter than a sleeping baby. I snuck in Kendall’s room while she was napping a few weeks ago and snapped this one. So sweet!
In addition to Louis and his family, we were blessed to have a great neighbor, S.M., until he moved to a smaller place across town. Kendall misses him though, so we try to have him over for dinner every few weeks. He’s so good to her and lets her just romp all over him!
We had another fun day out in Kendall’s little pool, and I had to include this picture specifically because I refer to it as her “Charlie Brown face.” You know how Charlie Brown’s mouth is just a line? Well Kendall has this way of sucking in her lip so her mouth looks like a line too….hence…Charlie Brown face! :)
One of my favorites…lil’ blue eyes…
Our poor dogs don’t get much press anymore, but they’re still around and doing just fine, other than the occasional pulled ear or tail. They both love their little sister and can always be counted on for a hand or face-lick.
I’ve been parking my car in the driveway instead of the garage so Isaiah has a place to dump all his bathroom renovating tools. As a result, it gets covered in bird poop and the other day I decided to go out and spray it off with the hose before it ruined the paint. Kendall sat in her activity center thing and I opened the shutters on the front of the house so she could see me. Well, it ended up being good entertainment for her and the dogs, and I couldn’t help but run back inside to grab my camera and take a pic of them all watching me. I felt kind of like an animal at the zoo….except they were behind the glass!
Speaking of bathroom renovations, Isaiah has now finished the floor, tile surround in the shower and the granite tile countertops. He’s now moved on to working on the counter backsplash. It’s all looking great and I can’t wait for it to be finished so we can use our new gorgeous bathroom!
The other day Kendall decided she needed a change of scenery so she crawled under her crib to hang out with her daddy’s hippo, cleverly named “Hippo” by Isaiah when he was five. Here are the two friends, poking their heads out from under the bed and having an all-around good time…
Here’s our little sweetums, sporting a new outfit from her Aunt Joyce and playing with one of the several instruments (in this case, jingle bells) her Nana sent from her former music-teaching days.
Up next…..the birthday girl!
she is SO CUTE!!! Sure miss that little sweet ums. Can't believe she's already one! WOW!!
