Alright, here goes nothing… On Wednesday before Christmas we went to Houston to spend a few days with Clay, Maryann, Loren and Camryn. Kendall and I were able to visit them over the summer, but this trip was even more fun for lil’ bit b/c she’s walking and can keep up with the girls! Plus, she looooves all their fun toys and they are so sweet to her and great about playing with her.
Here they are playing in the parachutey-tunnel-thing. We weren’t sure if Kendall would be scared, but once she watched the girls crawl through, she went for it…over and over again!
It was chilly outside while we were there, so we took advantage of the hot tub! Kendall wore the floaty suit for a little while and seemed to really enjoy being in the water.
I just loved the expression on lil’ toot’s face here. She had so much fun playing with “big girl” toys, and loved carrying these punching balloons around!
This girl is absolutely OBSESSED with her Grampy…I’m not sure if it’s because he loves to give her snacks (as he’s doing here), or what. But she loves him! And I have a feeling he thinks she’s okay too…. :)
The girls had so much fun riding around in the Barbie Jeep! K was not too sure at first, but she came around to it. Loren was so funny, hamming it up and smiling for the camera. I was afraid she’d run into a curb b/c she was trying too hard to give me a good picture! Ha!
Kendall’s face says it all here…”Okay, y’all were pushing it having a 6-year old drive me around, but now you want me to ride around with a 4-year old?!?!'” Camryn did just fine, but I love K’s face in this one….
How cute are these cousins!?!? Loren looks so grown up next to the little squirt!
The girls make a pit stop….Camryn was checking the gas and Loren was probably looking for a map in the glovebox…. and Kendall’s pretending to be Jessica Tandy (lil’ Driving Miss Daisy reference for you there…) Actually I’m not sure what they were doing, but it was cute!
Loren was so good to Kendall, playing the perfect big cousin. She held her hand and walked all around with her and K really seemed to take to her. They were so cute, with Loren encouraging her and K tottering around!
The cousins!
Finally it was time to open presents! Clay’s fam gave Kendall a doll stroller -- the girls helped her open it and were all excited to show it to her. Look how excited she is!
They also got her a cow-mower that she thinks is just awesome. Isaiah kept saying she’s going to go “moo the lawn!” (instead of mow….get it!?!?)
Aren’t my little sweetumses just so grown up and gorgeous!?!?
Ugh, so much for trying to take a cousin Christmas picture…K was getting tired and she’s got molars coming in. What a mess!
Sigh…why is it I only manage to take pictures of the kids and there are none of the adults? It’s kind of ridiculous, but I guess it’s just because they are just so much cuter and sweeter than we are! Ha! We had a fun visit with Clay’s family, ate lots of good cooking and had a great time watching the girls play together and interact. I wish we lived closer so they could be around each other more often!
Up next….Christmas in San Marcos!
