Six Weeks and Two Birthdays

Kendall is now six and a half weeks old and is doing really well! She has discovered the joys of being a night owl like her mommy, and has decided there will be no sleeping between midnight and 4 a.m. Or if there is, it's just a quick cat-nap designed to tease us. She's still eating really well and should be over the 6 lb. mark at her weigh-in at the doctor tomorrow, since she was 5 lb., 13.5 oz. last week.

I totally boofed it in mentioning that Isaiah had a birthday last month while little gal was still in the hospital. For his big 3-2, we went out for sushi and then rented a movie to watch in the RV. We'd planned on going to the drive-in, but he decided he was tired. See, he IS getting old!

Speaking of old, I turned 31 yesterday and it was pretty uneventful to say the least, but I've never been a big birthday person, so it was fine with me. Isaiah and I agreed on no presents this year since our gift to each other EATS, SLEEPS AND POOPS, but he did bring me a bag of mini Almond Joys (my fave) and some sugar cookies. Oh yes, and a card "from" Kendall that made tooting jokes since our girl is quite the tooter. Isn't he mature?!?! ;) We did pick up lunch from a Mexican food place before he went to work so I wouldn't have to make anything, which was nice.

Other than that, life is pretty simple. Isaiah works and I am a domestic goddess...who has pretty much given up makeup completely and sometimes finds time to shower. :)

In future news, we are planning to make the trip to my parents' house in September for a long Labor Day weekend so we can visit them and spend time with Clay and his family. We're anxious for them to get to meet Kendall!

Here's a few new pics for your enjoyment...

Having kicked out of being swaddled, as usual:
