Most days we're really good about changing Kendall out of her jammies and into an outfit, but for some reason, one day last week she ran around in a diaper all day. Here she is hanging out on the couch with me in nothing but her skivvies:
Tuggy and Kendall have become great friends! He's always sniffing on her and she's happy to watch him mess around the room. Sometimes I'll catch him sleeping right outside her bedroom door, and on this day, he plopped right down on her blankie during play time with her. I have a feeling these two are going to be besties forever!
After her bath the other night, I was struck by how the towel made Kendall look like a little Egyptian princess!
Before you call CPS, let me explain... :) We'd cleared out all the furniture in our bedroom so Isaiah could start prepping the room to paint. So, when we girls went in to visit daddy the other night and he needed a quick hand, there wasn't anywhere to sit Kendall down....except the hamper! She had fun chilling out on my butterfly jammie pants for a few minutes.
We've been really diligent about not taking Kendall out in public -- in fact, she's only ever been to relatives' houses and the doctor's office. Until last Sunday afternoon, that is, when we took her to the pumpkin patch in Floydada. We figured it'd be okay since we were outside the whole time. It was a gorgeous day and we had fun picking out several pumpkins and taking lots of pictures. Here's Kendall and Isaiah goofing off on a tractor:

Needing a little pouty time before we left:
There was a gorgeous cotton field across the road from the pumpkin patch and we couldn't resist going over to take some pictures there. Also, it was Isaiah's first time EVER to touch cotton in the boll! Here's our little cotton queen:

Later that afternoon we made a quick trip to Home Depot in Lubbock to get paint and other supplies so Isaiah could get started on our bedroom. I went in and picked out the color while Isaiah sat out with Kendall in the car, then we switched so he could get all the stuff he needed and pay. This was the gorgeous sunset I snapped on the way home:
Kendall turned four months on Tuesday the 19th, and unfortunately for her, had a doctor's appointment that day as well. She is up to 9 lbs, 5 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long! She got one oral immunization and two shots, and did pretty good, only crying for a minute or so. When we got home I fed her and put her down for a nap. Poor thing felt awful for the rest of the evening and didn't want to eat or anything. She just cried and cried and was so pitiful. Of course her dumb mommy didn't think to take her four-month pictures until AFTER the shots. Ugh. So as you can see, a straight face was the happiest I could capture...
But most of them looked like this...
I'm happy to report she was much better the next day and gave me a huge grin when I went in to get her out of her crib in the morning. Every day we work on rolling on her sides and spending time on her tummy, which she is not a big fan of. Here she is having quasi-tummy time on her boppy:
Lately when I'm in the kitchen cooking or washing dishes, I'll put Kendall in her highchair and roll her in so she can watch me work. She seems to like being in the middle of the action and just watches me and makes funny faces. This morning I caught this cute face while I was roasting up a tri-tip, making mashed potatoes and roasting asparagus for our lunch and Isaiah's dinner. Mmmmm!
What's coming up for us, you might ask? Isaiah only has to work a half day tomorrow and will be home in the afternoon and evening, so I'm looking forward to having him around. It makes me realize how spoiled I was before he started working nights!
Then on Saturday I'm going up to Amarillo with my Aunt Susie and cousins Erin and Andi for our cousin Leslie's baby shower. She's due in early January with a little boy. I always love a good excuse to hang out with the fam and Kendall is kooking forward to spending some quality time with just her Daddy! (Don't worry...I've asked Tuggy to keep an eye on them!) :)
