Ugh, so it's midnight and I can't sleep. Not that midnight is that late for an unemployed person, but I don't want to just lay there with all my racing thoughts, so I thought I'd get up and surf the web for a bit.
I recently watched "You've Got Mail." Yes, it's kind of cheesy but there are some great lines in that movie. And, some of the things in it really crack me up....like how they both have dial-up. They sit there and don't even cringe as their computers start squawking and buzzing as they connect to the internet. Ah progress....
Anyway, as I was laying there in bed a minute ago, I kept thinking of the scene where Meg Ryan's character figures out Tom Hanks' character is her business rival. She says, "How do you sleep at night?!?" And then his wacko girlfriend, played brilliantly by Parker Posey, walks in on the conversation and says something unintentionally hilarious like "I use an over-the-counter drug called Ultradorm. Don't take the whole thing...just half...and you'll wake up without even the tiniest hangover."
Sigh....if I only had some Ultradorm....or a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils...(did you get that reference?)
