For those of you who give a rip about the stuff I'm writing for work (very few of you, I'm sure), here are the links to my most recent articles:
"Homecoming Weekend: Help Tech paint the town red with Raider spirit, traditions"
http://www.lubbockonline.com/stories/100809/fea_502668519.shtml
"Down syndrome does not hold back life dream"
http://www.lubbockonline.com/stories/101309/fea_504068427.shtml
The first one killed me to write, as it would any good Aggie. ;) Actually, I was pumped that the events section editor said the Tech folks called to thank us for doing such a good job. That would be all due to moi.
The second one is a neat little story about a local guy with Downs who self-published his autobiography this summer and is holding a book signing this week. Sweet little feel-gooder.
I should know better than to do a good job....the events editor has now asked me to do a similar piece on all things Halloween in Lubbock. I told him I was fine doing it as long as I didn't have to visit any haunted houses b/c I am a HUGE weenie when it comes to stuff like that. I bury my face in Isaiah's shoulder during scary movie previews, for Pete's sake.
Well my friends, carry on....
