We decided to take a much needed rest this morning and skip church. (Boo, I know.) We had a great time in Abilene yesterday with Allison, Eric and Allison's family, but we got home much later than we anticipated. Also, I my shoulders and back are burned to a crisp! It alternated sun and clouds yesterday while we were out on the water and I was a dummy not to put sunscreen on (except my face). We had fun tooling around in the boat, tubing and riding the jet-ski. Poor Eric served as the all-day driver, pulling Allison, Kat and me around on the tube and Isaiah on the wakeboard. It was great to see our friends -- thanks for your hospitality, Burns family!
And finally, I realized that yesterday was the five year anniversary of our engagement! Isaiah asked me to marry him on top of Pike's Peak on June 20, Father's Day in 2004. I will never forget...we got to the top and there were snow flurries! Of course I wasn't dressed for that kind of weather, it being June and all, but what a great day it was! Here we are at Clay and Maryann's house, just after coming down from the mountain...
How cute and young (and skinny!) do we look?!?!
