Planes, Trains & Automobiles

I'm headed out this morning for a 11-day road trip..and yes, there will be planes, trains and automobiles involved! My friend Brooke called six weeks ago and said she'd won tickets to a Red Sox/Rangers game at Fenway Park from her company...and she wanted me to go with her! Of course Isaiah has to stay here and bring home the bacon, so I'm going solo. (Thanks, honey! I'll be spending your money wisely!) :)

I'm driving to Dallas today (automobile) and then we'll fly out tomorrow morning (plane) for Boston. We've already got some sightseeing planned (trains and taxis) and have solicited recommendations for restaurants and things to see from some of Brooke's Boston co-workers. Our friends Becky and Don will be flying in on Saturday and then we'll all go to the game on Sunday afternoon. Can there really be a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than at the ballpark?!?

We get back to Dallas on Monday afternoon and I am headed to my Aunt Joyce's house that evening. She lives in Godley, just southwest of Dallas/Ft. Worth. Mom is going to meet me there and we're going to spend the next couple of days hanging out, doing girl things and going to check out two potential places for our pending Turner family reunion next summer.

On Thursday I'm driving to College Station to visit friends and have lunch with my sweet co-worker, Brenny. On Friday, I'll drive to Houston to spend the day and part of Saturday with Clay, Maryann and the girls! I talked to Loren on the phone the other night, but it's just not the same. THEN, I'll head back to College Station on Saturday afternoon and plan to spend Saturday evening with my dear friends Allison, Libby and Megan, who just so happens to be expecting her first baby on June 11. We're hoping she'll have it on time so we can all get to see Miss Baby Girl Stewart and order room service at the hospital!

Depending on how everything goes, I plan to head back this way on Sunday or Monday. And before anybody starts worrying about Isaiah starving to death, he has several things going for him. I cooked him a big pan of lasagna and also red chile stacked enchiladas and they are in the freezer, along with leftovers from our dinner last night. He also has Domino's on speed dial and there's a Burger King just about a mile from our house. Plus, my good-cooking (and good-looking!) cousin Erin and her family live 3 minutes from here, so I made her promise to check on him from time to time.

Alright, I need to finish up packing and hit the road in an hour or two. I'm just hoping I don't end up in the wrong town on the wrong day...my head's already spinning! Wish me luck! :)
