T&M's Afternoon Adventures

Ugh, I'm becoming that person that takes her dogs on drives just because it amuses them. At least I don't go out with the sole intention of getting them cheeseburgers....ahem, Dad.... :)

I desperately needed to wash the Jeep (more on that later) and I know how the dogs get all fascinated by carwashes, so we went out for a quick trip this afternoon. It's funny to watch Tug run back and forth across the back cargo area, following the guys scrubbing the side and back windows. Oh how I wish they could clean the wet nose spots on the inside of the windows.... And Murphy goes nuts when the long flappy things whack the windshield. For less than $10, we get a clean car AND entertainment!

Then, I decided to splurge and go by the drive-thru at Jimmy John's. My former co-worker Brenda and I used to go there on a very regular basis for their roast beef sandwiches....mmmm... Anyway, when I got to the window, the guys saw the dogs and gave me two free slices of bacon for them! Needless to say, they were very happy and Murphy licked my fingers all the way home.

Our family garage sale starts tomorrow so I'm headed over to Erin's to help her get stuff ready and have popsicles with the kids. Yay! I'm just praying for cooler weather. Mom says it was 104 degrees in San Marcos yesterday...eeek! It's supposed to reach 96 here today, but thank goodness it's dry. However, hanging out in a hot garage makes it feel like 106.

We experienced our first dust storm late last week. I looked out the sliding glass door and the sky was red with all the dirt. Hence the need for the car wash...
