Some of you already know this, but in the course of applying and being interviewed for a job at Lubbock Magazine (published by the local paper, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal), I had to do a profile on a local citizen as part of the interview process. I was assigned a local female attorney who turned out to be a really nice lady. She didn't have some tragic or earth-shattering story, but she seems like a good person and an accomplished lawyer.
As for the job, I still haven't heard back from the hiring editor as to whether I've been selected or rejected (I was one of two finalists), but did discover today that they had published my profile in last Friday's paper! Eeek! I would have liked to grab a hard copy or two for my portfolio, but a computer-printed copy will just have to do, I suppose.
I have to admit.....it's not my best published effort, but it is what it is. Here's a link to it if you want to check it out: http://lubbockonline.com/stories/081409/fea_481675842.shtml
Sorry I don't have any autographed copies to hand out.....HA! ;)

They should give you a column and you could post all your fun weekly happenings bolgging. :) I always enjoy reading about your adventures :) glad to hear y'all are doing well!
